A wonderful ending to a very scary situation

September 6, 2007

From the Baker City Herald:

“Ora Doris Anderson, the 76-year-old Sandy woman lost in the Wallowa Mountains about 25 miles northeast of Baker City nearly two weeks ago, has been found alive and conscious.”

Ora Doris Anderson

Having followed this sad story for the last two weeks, I am so, so, so relieved to hear of a happy ending. Her husband and family must feel incredibly relieved. I’ll be interested to hear about how she was able to survive for two weeks in the wilderness by herself. How scary to be left alone, and good for her to have the moxie to make-do with this terrible situation.

My best wishes to the Andersons.

You have to see this photo

September 6, 2007

We spent four hours tonight prepping the walls so that they can be shot with texture tomorrow. Without proper training, this kind of work is exhausting. Good thing MIL was there – she shaved about two hours off of our time. She’s great at painting.

Painting

The exterior was painted SUPER DUPER RED today, and they’re going to try to finish up tomorrow with the trim and minor touch-ups.

Exterior Red Paint

The exterior signs will go up early next week. I can’t wait to get those Sho-Gun signs off.

Now for the photo that you absolutely HAVE TO see…. I hope you get as much enjoyment in viewing this photo as I did when I saw him in real life. I about died laughing! Read the rest of this entry ?

Pizza Update!

September 6, 2007

In the next six days, our building will be completely painted, the flooring will be put in, and all of the lighting installed.

Late next week, our equipment will begin arriving, and we’ll have the pizza oven up and running. Our wall benches will be put in place, and the toilets will be in working order.

Here are the latest photos of our progress: Read the rest of this entry ?

My 2007 Fantasy Football Team

September 6, 2007

Here it is:

Fantasy Football Team

The draft went until well past midnight, and for the most part, went pretty smoothly. This was the first time we’ve had to do our picks via the internet.

Fantasy Football Draft

Thanks to Bierman and Waak for entering the picks into our chat window. I know it couldn’t have been easy sitting there for hours, having to pay attention to the picks instead of drinking beers and enjoying yourselves at the Draft party. THANK YOU!!! I’ll have to send you a Paizano’s shirt when we get them in.

Shoot. I need to order those, don’t I?

Back to work…

GO TEAM KEENEYE!!!!
