Sever storms kill three, thousands ” LOOSE ” power across U.S.
Don’t you just ” LOSE ” power, as in can’t find it anymore?
Sometimes it pays to get up early to read blogs
If I point out the typo in Tom’s comment do I get a hat too?
(I have never heard of a “sever” storm personally…)
You never heard of a “sever storm”. I thought everyone knew about those extreme thunderstorms with winds known to be so strong they would lop off the heads of unsuspecting victims.

Loose power? Should be lose, but the page I am looking at does indeed say severe correctly….
Great catch. But every day the writers and editors at Yahoo make a mistake — often on the front page. You can see hundreds of really bad typos, misspellings, grammatical gaffes on yahoo.com at Terribly Write
