A very costly typo on eBay

A simple typo cost this eBay seller over a half a million dollars!

Allsopp's Ale

The original seller listed an incredibly rare bottle of beer (brewed in 1852) on eBay, and misspelled the name of the beer as “ALLSOP”, instead of the correct spelling of “ALLSOPP”. The buyer was able to purchase this museum-quality bottle of beer for $304, and then turn around and sell it on eBay for $503,300!!!

Ouch. And you thought you were having a bad day….

What a tragic lesson to have learned. Glad it wasn’t me.
