Abyss, Part III

I bought all of the Abyss I could find at Bella, our downtown specialty store. 5 bottles at almost $12 a piece.

Later today, our beer rep showed up and I asked him to order a few cases for us, thinking that we’d get a great discount, and then store them in the walk-in until Jon said we should drink/sell them.

Right.

Turns out that our local distributor is only allowed 3 cases of this beer, and Bella bought it all.

Bev? I’m not happy with you.

Abyss horder!

  1. Jon says:

Bella bought it all, and you bought it from Bella… hmmmm…. 🙂

  2. Sherri says:

and jon, where’s your apprecition to Kina at all the beer she’s given to you?! 😉

Although, now she has 5. 🙂

I’m trying to get him to double his money on ebay, but he won’t.

from one veryfinebeerlovingpizzawench to another there are certain advantages to having helped to foster a veryfinebeerloving community where none existed before (this was a card carrying Keystone Lite county)
I’ve worked to nurture not only the interests of the locals but the distribution networks a bit so that new players would have an easier time gettin’ better beers(& vin!)and the friendly folks at places like Deschutes would know how important it was to send a drop or two this way. hopefully that makes you happy in little tiny ways!
So I’ll accept your unhappiness at having to pay retail if you’ll accept that 11 years ago, before BELLA opened you couldn’t lay your hands on REAL hops or malt to save your life in this snowy (but you’ve got to admit gorgeous) place!
