It was pretty timely, too, considering that I had the crew re-mop last night because it just wasn’t up to par. Sometimes I feel like I’m being a real B, but it’s so important to have a clean kitchen when you get there in the morning. If you’re going to clean it, do it right the first time.
If you don’t know about “The Spot”, you can read up on the rules here.
Recent Spot winners include a $5 spot for scraping the flour from the floor behind the mixer, a $10 spot for sweeping and mopping under the dunnage rack where the flour is stored, a $20 spot for finding the broken beer bottle behind the water heater, a $20 spot for this… (yes, I had to take a photo – that’s straight up dedication to that spot):
(She scrubbed the entire walk-in floor with hot water until it was shiny! The actual “spot” was only some sauce that had dripped on to the floor)
And finally a $25 spot for scrubbing the inside of the dishwasher (it looked practically new when he got done).
So for an additional $80 bucks out of my pocket not only did all of these projects get done, but dozens of others were completed in the search for “The Spot”.
Seems like a great investment for a spotless kitchen, wouldn’t you say?
