Being raised in Hawaii, I had my share of hurricanes and tsunamis.
And while living in New Orleans, the threat of hurricanes or flooding was a regular occurrence.
During my brief stint in Los Angeles, wildfires threatened my home – not to mention traffic and random street violence.
Move to Florida? Hurricanes.
Move to the East Coast? Intense winter storms.
Move to Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina? Tornadoes.
Move to California and deal with regular earthquakes (seriously – how long before the next “big one” ?).
And then there’s Eastern Oregon, and it has….
Republicans with loaded guns? (joke, people, joke!)
Truly, Eastern Oregon has all four seasons without a threat of intense natural disasters. Or am I missing something?
