Beer Slushies

A customer ordered one of our Bridgeport IPA bottled beers.

Good choice…

until I tried to pour it into a pint glass.

This is a photo of the FULL beer being poured.

It was frozen solid.

I pulled out the big guns and got a temperature reading:

30-degrees.

That’s below freezing.

No bueno.

The strange thing is, though, is that all of the beers behind this one in the reach-in cooler were fine.

The Guinness next to this one was frozen as well, but those were the only two that were frozen solid in the entire cooler.

I don’t want to lower the temperature in the reach-in cooler because two bottles were frozen, yet, wonder if this is going to be a problem on a regular basis.

Although, frozen Guinness tends to not be an issue if I take that problematic bottle home.
